How to Purchase NSE Historical data Online

1. Start by accessing the Historical data page by going to the main menu and selecting Information Service >> NSE Data >> Historical Data. You will see a list of all data available online. Some data can be purchased based on per download basis, where the price indicated is for each file you want to purchase in that section, while others use the subscription basis where price is based on period of time either monthly or annually
   
   
    
2. Once you select that section you want to purchase from, you will be presented with a form to select the dates over which you seek to purchase documents with a from and to date required, and then you click on Purchase.
   
   
   
    
3. After you choose to purchase, the item you selected with the period of time is added to a shopping cart from where you can go back to the list of data to add more items, or you can select to check out. The price shown in the cart is based on the files that are available for items whose price is based on per download, and for those based on subscription is based on the time period selected.  Once you have all the items you wish to buy in the cart, click on Complete Payment so as to proceed to make payment
   
   
   
   If the items you have selected for purchase are based in per download price, and no documents are found in the system, then the cart will not add that item, and you will get a message indicating the same
   
   
    
4. Once you click to Complete Payment, you will be required to login, with the option of creating a new account if you do not have one yet. If creating a new account, you will be required to fill the registration form, and activate the account from a link sent to your email. Once you login, you are then sent to the Payment page
   
   
    
5. The Payment page is then loaded showing the options available for payment, which you proceed to select the Payment gateway to use, within each, you will find the Payment methods available including M-PESA, airtel Money, Yu Cash, Kenswitch amongst others. Once u select the preferred payment method, you will receive instructions on how to make the payment. Ensure you keenly follow the instructions, and for each case, ensure that you click on the complete button at the bottom of the instructions, and providing any details required
   
   
   
   You will then be presented with a message based on the notification from the gateway  which maybe
   • Complete : Means the payment has gone through and the payment gateway has confirmed the same. In this case you can proceed to access documents
   • Pending: Means the payment gateway needs to confirm the payment - In this case, you will wait a few minutes, where once the confirmation is done, an email is sent to you confirming if the payment went through and then gain access
     
      
   Should you have reached the payment before, and for one reason or another, and you did not click complete, you can login to the site (even if later), and click on the my cart link at the top of the page to complete the process once again

   
   
   
   
    

6. Once the payment is confirmed you can access the documents which you have purchased by going to the My Downloads page, accessible from the top right menu on the site.
