- Educational use; the NSE offers discounted rates on historical data fees for academic research as long as certain conditions are met. Please refer to section 17.0 of the Market Data Policy (Data for Education) to see the terms and conditions. International Securities Identification Number (ISIN)
An international securities identification number (ISIN) is a 12-digit code that is used to uniquely identify a security’s issue e.g. shares, bonds, etc. This is currently the main method of securities identification worldwide.
The Nairobi Securities Exchange PLC (NSE) is the recognized numbering authority for issuing ISINs for Kenya, as authorized by the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA).
