Description

Minimum listing period on
foreign exchange

Foreign issuer must have been listed on a foreign securities exchange for a minimum of 2 YEARS before applying for cross-listing in Kenya

Certificate of Comfort /
No-Objection

MANDATORY: Certificate from home securities exchange AND all relevant foreign regulators. Home exchange must be recognised by CMA.

Good standing on home
exchange

Issuer must remain in good standing on primary/home exchange throughout listing in Kenya. Any suspension or delisting action must be immediately notified to CMA.

Reduced disclosure
(if applicable)

CMA may prescribe different or reduced disclosure requirements for entities already listed on recognised foreign exchanges. Applied on case-by-case basis.

All other eligibility criteria

Foreign issuers must meet ALL other eligibility requirements for the relevant market segment (Main or SME) as outlined above.
